The annual Journal of
the Historical Society of South Australia was first published in
1975. In 1978 and 1980 two issues were published.
Membership of the Historical Society includes a copy of that

contributions on historical subjects relating to South Australia
or Australia. These may take the form of research articles,
conference addresses, short research notes, photographic essays

this is that the cost of forwarding any payments received are

Articles submitted for academic assessment are refereed, but the
final decision on publication rests with the Editor. The
Historical Society of South Australia gratefully acknowledges

Since the first issue in 1975 all essays were indexed in
the Australian Public Affairs Information Service (APAIS). APAIS
was maintained by the National Library of Australia and closed
in December 2013. It is now available from RMIT Publishing as
Informit APAFT (Australian Public Affairs Full Text). Follow
texts of articles from Journal No 22 (1994) to Journal No 43
(2015) are available online from RMIT Publishing as PDFs. There
is a charge of $3.98 for each article payable to RMIT. Follow
link and choose the issue of interest or use the SEARCH
function at the top of the Informit page.
